I wish you well (I mean it, I really do despite what I've been calling you in my head)

I've been on a bit of an Anna Waronker binge lately. I really love her video for "I Wish You Well" (you might know this song from the 2001 critically acclaimed movie Josie and the Pusseycats, she let them use this song). Mainly because of the fuzzy dream-like film quality, the pink and blue washes over the shots and then also because of her wigs and her outfits. And all the mirror shots and the 70s theme bedroom. Also because she plays her Gibson in her black undies (and you know what black panties mean, right...? That she wants to have SEX someday, that's what! You don't buy black lingerie unless you want someone to see it. Oh look, wait, WE've seen it) Anna was also in the band That Dog in the 90s, and they have some pretty great videos, too. "He's Kissing Christian" is a pretty awesome song, I love how the song starts out all pretty and serene and "Oooh, aaah, oooh" back ground vocal-y and then it really gets down to business. And oh baby, Anna's HAIR IN THIS VIDEO!!!!!!!! Nobody pulls off pseudo-skunk hair quite like this.
